How to Apply
Funding Request Pathways
There are three grant application pathways for the Foundation.
Community Grantmaking
Through the Foundation's community grantmaking pathway, organizations that are tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3) and provide services to residents of Albany and Rensselaer counties of New York State can apply for funding. The request should be consistent with the Foundation's funding priorities.
"What If...?" Neighborhood
Mini-Grants
Grassroots organizations and individuals residing in Rensselaer County are eligible to apply for funding through the Foundation's "What If" neighborhood initiative. The maximum amount available for a project through this initiative is $5,000, and there are two grant cycles per year.
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Mini-Grant
This mini-grant program is open to small nonprofit organizations that are tax exempt under IRS Section 501 (c)(3) and are headquartered in Albany or Rensselaer counties of New York State. There is one grant cycle per year for this program, which is offered in partnership with the American Red Cross of the Eastern New York Region.
