Teens Make Music for Our Ears in Lyricism 101 Program

Teens Make Music for Our Ears in Lyricism 101 Program

The Boys & Girls Club of the Capital Area launched the Lyricism 101 program
in 2018. Through this program, participants learn how to write, record, and
produce music using state-of-the-art music production technology. Teen club
members learn to express their worries, dreams, and life stories through music production. Young people can participate in the Lyricism program both onsite at the
Albany and Troy clubhouses and in the Lyricism 101 van outfitted with a full recording studio. The van travels to areas where teens live and hang out and encourages them to work together to produce music. Foundation funding supports the staffing of the program in both Albany and Troy.
