Funding Request Pathways

There are two separate application pathways for funding requests to the Foundation:

  • Community Grantmaking - Through the Foundation's community grantmaking pathway, organizations that are tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3) and provide services to residents of Albany and Rensselaer counties of New York State can apply for funding. The request should be consistent with the Foundation's funding priorities. To learn more about the Community Grantmaking program, please click here.

  • "What If" Neighborhood Mini-Grants - Grassroots organizations and individuals residing in Troy (zip code 12180) or Lansingburgh (zip code 12182) are eligible to apply for funding through the Foundation's "What If" neighborhood initiative. The maximum amount available for a project through this initiative is $5,000. To learn more about the "What If" mini-grants application process, please click here.
