Grant awards totaling $155,800 awarded to community and youth development organizations.

TROY -- The Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation announced today that it recently made grant awards totaling $155,800 to nine community organizations. Grants made by the Foundation include the following:

 

·         Funding of $10,000 to Community Hospice Foundation for the Urban Schools Pediatric Bereavement Program and capital improvements to Hospice offices.

 

·         Funding of $10,000 to Friends of Barker Park, Inc. toward the first phase of rehabilitation of the urban park in downtown Troy.

 

·         Funding of $15,000 to St. Paul’s Center, Inc. to provide case management services to women after they leave the homeless shelter.

 

·         Funding of $40,000 to The Children’s Museum of Science & Technology for the “Working in the Living Domain” exhibit and animal care careers curriculum.

·         Funding of $15,000 to Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc. to be used for the “Umbrella of Colonie” home maintenance program for senior citizens in Colonie.   

 

·       Funding of $18,700 to the Regional Food Bank of NENY for land improvements and equipment for the Patroon Land Farm to help the Food Bank to produce greater quantities of fresh produce for food pantry clients in Northeastern New York.

 

·         Funding of $25,000 to Schenectady Inner City Ministry for the relocation and expansion of the agency’s Emergency Food Pantry in the Hamilton Hill area of Schenectady.

 

·         Funding of $12,100 to Shelters of Saratoga for renovations to the shelter serving single homeless adults in Saratoga County.

 

·         Funding of $10,000 to the Wildwood Programs, Inc. in support of the agency’s capital campaign for the Wildwood School campus in Schenectady.

 

 

 

 

 

The Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation was established in 1999 to provide financial support to not-for-profit organizations in Albany, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties.
